Our leadership team brings a deep wealth of knowledge from the medical device and imaging industry. This includes working experience within some the industry’s most successful endoscopic imaging companies, such as Arthrex and others. Additionally, our team brings long-term strategic partnerships within the larger network of medical device manufactures and service providers. Currently, SoftAcuity is teaming with BARCO, a premiere producer of high-end, medical-grade displays, to deliver an innovative, smart, interactive medical display product: ELSA.
Our Story
Founded in 2021 by successful medical Imaging entrepreneur Bruce Kennedy (founder of PCM, acquired by Arthrex in in 2011), SoftAcuity Inc is dedicated to architecting cutting-edge solutions that redefine the operating room experience. Our mission is to develop intelligent, highly-integrated solutions which provide surgeons and OR staff with improved tools and data so they can deliver the best possible care with improved ease, efficiency, and enjoyment.
At PCM, Point Conception Medical, Bruce successfully brought increased levels of integration to his endoscopic imaging product architecture. This enabled cost-effective solutions that simplified setup, improved workflows, and increased overall ease of use in the Operating Room. Now, at SoftAcuity, Bruce and his team are bringing this same passion for integration to the development of a next generation Surgical Display product. By greatly expanding the functionality of the Surgical Display, we are offering significant additional value in the OR - effectively producing a "brilliant assistant" for the OR, replacing what is now simply a commodity display.
Founded in Santa Barbara, CA, Bruce has assembled a strong and growing team of medical imaging engineers and leaders from the vibrant local network.
